This render serves as a cinematic player-perspective exploration for the environment, capturing a moment where the player is fleeing from an unseen creature before suddenly stumbling and losing consciousness. The piece was created to test how the environment functions from a gameplay perspective while also exploring mood, tension, and visual storytelling through lighting and composition.
Static Veil is a semi-stylized cyberpunk environment focused on cinematic lighting, atmosphere, and environmental storytelling. Inspired by neon-noir aesthetics and dystopian urban spaces, the project explores the contrast between vibrant artificial lighting and decaying architecture to create a space that feels immersive, isolated, and lived in.
For this project, I focused on composition, lighting, material creation, prop placement, and environmental detail to establish a strong visual mood and narrative presence. Special attention was given to color contrast, fog treatment, and guiding the viewer’s eye through layered lighting and environmental framing.
